Katharina Behling was born in a little village near Berlin, in former East Germany. She studied photography in South Africa at the Rhodes University Grahamstown and at the Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig where she finished her studies with a Master of Arts degree in 1999. Since then, she works as a freelance photographer. Besides her personal work, she realized fashion editorials, book covers, billboards, commercial campaigns. Together with her son and boyfriend she is living in Berlin and working on her first book.
